It can involve acquiring new skills, embracing new challenges, or simply becoming more effective and fulfilled in one’s existing position. This approach recognizes that not everyone aspires to leadership roles or higher salaries; some may find their greatest fulfillment in mastering their craft or contributing meaningfully to their team and organization.

As someone who transitioned from being a medical practitioner to an international civil servant and now runs a coffee shop, I’ve experienced firsthand the importance of adaptability and continuous learning.
